چکیده

Endophytes possess several phytohormones and bioactive metabolites of medicinal importance thus, continue to generate research interest as candidates in drug discovery programmes. This study was carried out investigate the secondary an endophytic fungus isolated from leaves Psidium guajava. Endophytic fungal isolation, fermentation; extraction ethyl acetate were using standard methods. The crude extract subjected Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) binary combinations Hexane:Ethyl Dichloromethane:Methanol obtain fourteen sub-fractions designated PG55-1 PG55-14. extracts VLC screened for antimicrobial activity also high-performance liquid chromatography-diode-array detection (HPLC-DAD) analysis identification compounds. An fungus, PG55 leaf showed antibacterial properties, with minimum inhibitory concentrations ranging 0.0625 – 1 mg/ml. No antifungal observed. HPLC-DAD suggested presence p-hydroxybenzoic acid, pentenedioic acid palitantin one fractions PG55. Some these compounds are known agents may be responsible activities recorded extracts. results this study, suggests many potentials possessed by Nigerian plants hosts endophytes that could reservoirs excellent sources pharmacologically active

Abstract In the present study, eleven compounds (1-11) including nine alkaloids (1-9), one triterpenoid saponin (10) and one formamide (11) were isolated from Talaromyces sp. LGT-2, an endophytic fungus from Tripterygium wilfordi. Their structures were determined based on NMR and ESI-MS spectral data, as well as comparing with previous literature data. This is the first report of the isolation ...

Asterogynins: Secondary Metabolites from a Costa Rican Endophytic Fungus

An endophytic fungus isolated from the small palm Asterogyne martiana produced two unusual steroid-like metabolites, asterogynin A (1) and asterogynin B (2), along with the known compounds viridiol (3) and viridin (4). Asterogynins A and B were characterized by NMR and MS spectroscopic analysis.

Two New Secondary Metabolites from the Endophytic Fungus Endomelanconiopsis endophytica.

Two new secondary metabolites, endomeketals A-B (1-2), a new natural product (3), and a known compound (4) were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the endophytic fungus Endomelanconiopsis endophytica A326 derived from Ficus hirta. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis. All compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against SF-268,...
